New export duty rates will be applied from the beginning of 2022
The Government of the Russian Federation plans to approve from January 1, 2022 updated rates of export customs duties on a wide range of goods (such as tuna, ores, gas, leather, wood, etc.) exported from the Russian Federation outside the customs territory of the EAEU.
For example, for the export of tuna, the duty will be 5% of the cost (previously there was no duty), for leather from the part of commodity item 4101-4103, the rate will be 200 euros / ton, for scrap, the rate will decrease and amount to 10%, but not less than 76 euros / ton (now: 15%, but not less than 254 $ / ton).
It is planned that the resolution under consideration will replace the current Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 754 dated August 30, 2013 "On approval of export customs duty rates for goods exported from the Russian Federation outside the member States of the Customs Union Agreements, and on invalidation of Certain Acts of the Government of the Russian Federation".
The draft resolution was developed in order to bring the rates of export customs duties on goods exported from the territory of the Russian Federation in accordance with the 7th edition of the Harmonized System of Description and Coding of Goods of the WCO and with the law of the EAEU.
