The temporary procedure for certification of serially supplied products during the COVID-19 pandemic has been extended
On December 21, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved a decision on the extension of temporary measures used in the certification of mass-produced products in the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic.
This decision was made in accordance with the fact that the validity of the previous measures expired on January 10, 2022 (as amended by the Decision of the EEC Council of December 23, 2020 № 127).
It is worth noting that the remote analysis of production is most relevant when working with technically complex, large-sized products, the import of which for testing on the territory of the member States of the Union carries an excessive economic burden, both on the manufacturer and in the future on the consumer.
Due to the continued operation of the restriction regime, which provides for the closure of the borders of most countries of the world for citizens of the Russian Federation for an indefinite period in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as due to the exclusivity of temporary measures associated with the emergence of socio-economic circumstances requiring prompt response, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has taken the initiative to preserve the practice of application in states – members of the Union of Unified approaches to assessing the conformity of mass-produced products with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Union, including the possibility of conducting a remote analysis of the state of production without the departure of employees of the certification body abroad.
