On June 1, GOST R declaration schemes have changed

On June 1, the national standard of the Russian Federation GOST R 54008-2022 “Conformity assessment. Schemes for Declaration of Conformity”, instead of the previous standard GOST R 54008-2010. This standard establishes schemes for declaring products for compliance with the requirements of national standards of the Russian Federation.

The main changes affected the declaration schemes, namely, the information on testing was specified:

• 1e – Product testing is carried out by the manufacturer;
• 2d – Testing of products (single product) is carried out by the manufacturer;
• 3d – Testing samples (samples) of products in an accredited testing laboratory;
• 4e – Testing samples (samples) of products in an accredited testing laboratory;
• 5e – Study of the product type in the product certification body;
• 6e – Testing of samples (samples) of products in an accredited testing laboratory (center).
• Declaration scheme 7d was removed.

As you can see, test reports can only be obtained from an accredited testing laboratory or our own testing laboratory.

It is also important that now it is precisely indicated who and on the basis of what can accept declarations of conformity:

• manufacturers – on the basis of their own evidence or on the basis of evidence obtained with the participation of an accredited testing laboratory and (or) certification body and their own evidence (if any);
• persons authorized by the manufacturer, sellers (importers) – on the basis of evidence obtained with the participation of an accredited testing laboratory and (or) certification body.
